Expert Advice

Top 10 Wedding Planning Tips

01

Start Early

Begin planning 12–18 months in advance. The best vendors book up fast, especially for peak wedding season.

02

Set a Realistic Budget

Determine your total budget before anything else. Allocate percentages to each category and stick to it.

03

Guest List First

Your guest count drives venue size, catering costs, and overall budget. Finalize this before booking anything.

04

Prioritize Your Must-Haves

Identify your top 3 non-negotiables and allocate more budget there. Be willing to compromise on the rest.

05

Hire a Coordinator

Even if you're DIY-ing most of the planning, a day-of coordinator is worth every penny for peace of mind.

06

Read Every Contract

Understand exactly what's included, payment schedules, cancellation policies, and overtime fees before signing.

07

Keep a Buffer

Always reserve 10–15% of your budget for unexpected costs. Something always comes up!

08

Communicate Clearly

Keep all vendors informed of changes. Clear communication prevents day-of surprises.

09

Delegate on the Day

Assign specific tasks to trusted family or friends so you can be fully present and enjoy your day.

10

Enjoy the Process

Wedding planning can be stressful, but remember β€” it's a celebration of your love. Savor every moment!
